Details: How to tell science from science-ish: tricks and tips for evaluating health-related statements by policymakers, opinion leaders, and the media.

An intimate lunch and learn session with Julia Belluz and Prof Cameron Norman, Dalla Lana School of Public Health.

Workshop
Over lunch, students will break out into small groups to critically appraise a health statement from the day’s news. They will come up with ideas about how they would probe the statement, and hold the statement-maker to account, which questions they might ask, etc.

 

1:00 pm:
Discussion
Debrief with group about findings and take away items
