It allows users to take control of the city of Fort McMurray, Alberta, and decide the virtual fate of the world’s largest energy project. The screening will use clips from the docu-game to explore this new form of participatory democracy, and provide options for the audience to learn more about the results of the game, explore alternate forms of participatory decision making and citizenship, and experience emerging forms of political engagement.
