City Building: Careers with Impact


Details: What makes a city great? Join us for an afternoon of food and thoughtful career conversation. Chat with professionals who are working to make a positive impact on our city, discuss your own ideas, learn about diverse career pathways within city building and start planning for an impactful career.

In collaboration with the Hart House Social Justice Committee, CCP, Hart House, the Urban Studies Department, Career Exploration and Education, and social impact organizations off-campus, this three-hour drop-in event will welcome over 80 U of T students, alumni, faculty, staff and small, medium and large organizations/community partners from a range of industries and government sectors, with a social impact mandate or project. 

“City Building: Careers with Impact” will help spark your curiosity and demonstrate how you can connect your values of contributing to the community, and our city, while finding meaningful work.

Students and alumni will rotate discussion pods,  and get an opportunity to talk informally with social impact employers about work-related opportunities. 

When: Thurs., Nov. 15, 2018, 12:30-3:30 pm
