Chamber Strings 2018 Spring Concert

Chamber Strings poster imageThe Hart House Chamber Strings invites everyone to its final concert of the year where they will be celebrating the 100th anniversary of the birth of Leonard Bernstein. The group will perform music from his ballet Fancy Free, his Mass, and the hit Broadway and movie musical West Side Story. The concert also features works by Mozart, Haydn, Mendelssohn, Purcell, and Bernstein’s friend and mentor Aaron Copeland.

The Hart House Chamber Strings is a student-run ensemble at Hart House, University of Toronto. Conducted by Mr. Keith Reid, the HHCS performs two concerts in the year: one in the spring and one in the fall, with a mix of both classical and popular repertoire.
