A Lasting Peace

Sunday, Nov 25 at 3 PM

Can you Handel the Hart House Chorus? Join us for our fall concert and find out! We are delighted to bring you two pieces penned by that master of joyful sound, George Frideric Handel.

Utrecht Te Deum and the Ode For the Birthday of Queen Anne were written in the immediate aftermath of the signing of the Peace of Utrecht, to celebrate Queen Anne and her leadership in bringing an end to the great wars of her day. These jubilant works are sure to bring a smile and get you in the mood for the upcoming holiday season. We will be featuring several guest soloists, as well as a guest consort to evoke that opulent Baroque atmosphere.

The concert will be in the Hart House Great Hall, on the east side of the building on the first floor. Admission is, as always, free.

We will be accepting donations to support our partner charity, WE. If you haven’t heard of this wonderful organization, check out their website:

Auditions for the 2017-2018 season are now closed. If you would like to join the Chorus starting in January, limited auditions are available. Contact us!
