Upcoming: Rebecca is currently directing Sunday School, an original piece written and performed by Toronto-based drag queen Pearle Harbour (with whom she works on a regular basis) which will be staged at the Helen Gardiner Phelan Playhouse this September. She is also directing THIS for Alumnae Theatre’s 2016-2017 Season.

About: Rebecca Ballarin is a freelance director and producer, and recent graduate of the Centre for Drama, Theatre and Performance Studies at the University of Toronto. In addition to her training under Leah Cherniak at U of T, she has completed directing workshops with Adam Seelig, Matthew Jocelyn, and Kim Collier.  Rebecca recently worked as the Professional Theatre and Education Manager at Theatre Ontario, and also spent a summer as the Youth and Community Outreach Coordinator at Canadian Stage. She is currently producing Osia, a new Canadian play by Jijo Quayson, for the 2016 SummerWorks Festival.

About: Jenna has assisted at CanStage, NAC and three seasons at the Stratford Festival, and is a graduate of NTS and York University. She is the recipient of two Guthrie awards and two Dora nominations.

About: Daina is an artist across different media including illustration, digital illustration and design (with a few published children’s books). She is a painter (on canvas and clothing) and is interested in animation.

About: Miquelon Rodriguez is an actor, sound designer, musician/composer and writer from Toronto. He attended York University for a specialization in devised theatre and has been a musician/composer for over 20 years. He is a co-curator of Soulpepper’s Tiger Bamboo Festival and can also be found on the turntables as DJ Tronix.

About: Mirka is currently completing her undergraduate degree in Philosophy at the University of Toronto. She is an active participant in the university theatre scene and is currently the vice-president of the U of T Drama Coalition. Although this is her first involvement with a Hart House Theatre season show, she did have the pleasure last year of coordinating the U of T Drama Festival, which takes place annually every February in Hart House Theatre. She is also a member of Broadleaf Theatre, an up-and-coming Toronto-based company which creates devised theatre about Canadian environmental issues. When not on or behind the stage, Mirka works as a freelance illustrator.
