At the November 14th Alumni dinner, Dr. Carl Benn, the award-winning Chair of History at Ryerson, will discuss “The War of 1812: The Big Picture “.
The evening’s menu is inspired by traditional Georgian fare, which might have been served at a mess of the period:
Starter: Turnip Soup with Sage Creme Fraiche
Main Course: Roast Beef au Jus with Horseradish accompanied by Roast Potatoes (there will also be an optional Vegetarian entree)
Dessert: Pears Portuguese with Port & Fig Ice Cream (pears stewed in wine and spices)
