Fall is here, school is in full swing, and the Hart House Camera Club is ready for some great new events. We were thrilled by the turn out this September at our open meeting and on our scavenger hunt, and we hope to see the same enthusiasm again soon. So, grab your cameras, and come get involved with us this October in some of our latest opportunities!
Silhouettes Dance Company Photoshoot: Saturday, October 13 from 12:00 – 4:00 pm (meet in front of Hart House)
For the third time the Hart House Camera Club is hosting a joint photoshoot with the Silhouettes Dance Company. We will be doing a fall outdoor photoshoot around U of T campus. So come out, practice your outdoor photography skills and take some great pictures of dancers! Don’t forget to bring your camera and all your creativity!
The goal of this event is for you to get some experience at a hands-on photoshoot and for the Silhouettes Dance Company to get some great pictures they can use on their website and for promotional material. Every photographer is expected to give the Silhouettes Dance Company copies of their pictures.

Artist talk with photographer Aubie Golombek: Thursday, October 25 from 4:30 – 6:00 pm (Hart House South Dining Room)
Aubie Golombek’s A Thinking Eye: Photography and Incarnation explores religious imagery within the presence of secular reality. In the heart of Golombek’s work is incarnation – the spiritual unfolding of the physical as becoming. Golombek employs a sophisticated use of long exposure times and natural and artificial lighting to create his images, using a variety of printing papers, developers, and toners to realize his vision.
